History
Jim McConnell opened the third-mile Scarborough oval in 1949, and the Cusack family ran it from 1981 onward. Over the years it drew NASCAR Busch North, Whelen Modified Tour and ACT touring events in addition to its weekly NASCAR divisions, and Maine standout Mike Rowe was a regular. Owner Andy Cusack announced in 2021 that the land would be sold, ending more than seven decades of racing, and the grandstands and track were torn down starting in 2025.
